The private beach is perfect for relaxing and hardly ever visited. The pools are in a great location and are great for relaxing. If at some point the shops in the complex open you will have better opportunities to shop for small items. Feedback for improvement is also gratefully accepted by the host, I recommended an umbrella for the stand. In general, the host's communication and flexibility was perfect! I recommend taking a rental car or downloading an app as there are no taxis. However, with app they come quickly. 5 stars! We will be back."

For example, the washing machine didn't work during our stay, and Mimi called the laundry twice. It was very generous! The location of the apartment building is excellent: the house is connected to the Dubai Mall and the metro through air-conditioned tunnels. There are many grocery stores, cafés and restaurants nearby. We would like to spend our whole life in this apartment!"

The beach had no clubs and music, which we really appreciated. But if that is your thing, La Mer Beach is a 10-minute walk away. Overall amazing! Good service."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Dreamlike beautiful!!! Better than described. The bed is a dream, the mattress and the interior are very high quality. Washing machine with washing powder are ready in the laundry room. There is still some construction going on around it, but that does not bother. The complex is safe and clean. Security and cleaning fairies are always present. Direct access to the beach with lifeguards. However, there are no umbrellas yet. The nearest shops and restaurants are about 25 minutes walk away. BUT we were allowed to take bicycles for free. It's like driving a VW Polo from '87. It's bumpy and jerky, but you get there quickly. Mega fun! Try it out! Quick-releases for adjusting the seat would be helpful here. There is also a basket at the front. So off we go on our bikes to the next supermarket. There is also a bus stop on the main road. We were allowed to park our bikes at the petrol station opposite. Just ask. Bus number 8 takes you to the main station, where you can take the bus to Abu Dhabi, for example, or take the 8 in the other direction directly to the Burj al Arab and the Palm. (Remember to buy a NOL card and top it up beforehand, as you can't buy tickets on the bus) We had a wonderful stay and say THANK YOU!!!!"

The reserved parking lot is very close to the elevator. During our stay, we always found free deck-chairs at the pool and enjoyed it. The PlayStation was a highlight for the small one, however only in English (he needed to learn...). George has an assistant - Mimi, who speaks English and who was available via WhatsApp during the stay and responded promptly in case of questions (e.g. how to use the extractor hood)."

The communication with Mimi from the time of our booking and throughout our stay was exceptional. The apartment itself was modern, clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The air conditioning kept us comfortable in the heat/humidity. We only used the washing machine, fridge and kettle so cannot comment on the cooking facilities/kitchen as we ate out most days. Super easy to take the lift and short walking access to Dubai Mall (all without leaving the building!) The supermarket was extremely convenient for day to day items. Some taxis did have an issue finding the building as it's relatively new. Highly recommend."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "This place is great if you want to stay in the downtown area, where a majority of the sites are. The best place is the mall, so much food and restaurants, in addition to being able to stay nice and cool all day long without walking outside. The place was nice and clean. Nicely air-conditioned great patio. I loved the bed the most, it was extremely comfortable. The only issue I found was the shower. In order to get into the shower, you have to raise your leg up very high. I am 5 feet tall, and it was as high as mid-thigh. But I felt it could be a tad dangerous if I lost my balance getting out of the shower. If you are tall or don't have any physical ailments, then I would say it's okay. I also noticed that the microwave and stove didn't work. I tried to reheat food, but the microwave kept spinning with no heat and the stove just wouldn't turn on and no lighter to test if it had gas. But I also didn't want to bother the owner since it was very early in the morning and our last day there. So it could've been user error 😂. But everything else was exactly as mentioned. The pool was also a big plus that I took advantage of very lovely place! Would visit again if I ever go back to Dubai."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "We had a wonderful stay at George's apartment in Port De La Mer! The newness, modernity, cleanliness of the building and apartment was impeccable and the communication (Pre/During/Post) was awesome. A welcome fresh fruit basket was also a nice touch. The apartment is fully equipped as you can see in the pictures and the pictures are super authentic, what you see is what you get. The PS5 and complimentary home office desk/chair were really nice add-ons. It's located on level 1, with a cozy terrace area that has seating and a small bamboo swing - too hot to use in the summer, but would be great once the weather improves. It is also super accessible to the pools and gym, which are all on the same floor, just walk out of your terrace for a few mins are you're there. There's also a basement with covered reserved parking which is very important especially in the summer when your car can unbearably heat up in just a few mins if not parked in the shade. While there is still a lot of construction in the area - it's a brand new neighborhood coming up just off La Mer Beach - there was really no real noise disturbance in the apartment. The area is super central to the heart of Dubai (especially for those who are familiar with the city or lived there in the past), so most areas are very accessible, however, you would need a car or taxi to get around. Even though it is so central, it's just secluded enough to be peaceful and quiet when you're in the apartment. It might get busy with people and traffic when the development is all done, but for now, it's great. The only downsides, with no fault of the owner was that the infinity pool which is right outside the apartment and has a downtown Dubai skyline view never opened while we were there. It was supposed to have finished a few weeks before we arrived, however, work was still going on when while we were there. We were optimistic that we would get a few days of use before we departed, but it never happened. That would be have been a home run. To be fair, the owner and his team were also chasing the maintenance team on a status and to finish. That said, there is a another infinity pool on the same terrace maybe 3 mins walk away (Not with a skyline view though), right next to the gym. Second, there is a beach that you can walk to right across from the apartment building which would take you 4 mins to get to, however, the construction supplies and vehicles are parked there - don't think anyone would stop you going to that beach, it's just not yet fully ready. La Mer beach and the other beaches on the Jumeirah coast with walking/cycling paths and showers are just a few mins drive away though. All in all, was awesome, and we'd definitely recommend it and look to stay there during our future trips to Dubai."

They offer fantastic views of the skyline, and in the 10 days we only saw a few people there. The garage is also easily accessible. It's a developing community, so, you can see some constructions on the way, But in the immediate vicinity of the flat, everything is ready and first class. If you want to experience Dubai as a toursit then Downtown is very central to everything in Dubai and this flat is very recommended. There is a balcony with a great view over the Palace side however, do note that there are 3 new buildings being built right next door which you can hear early in the morning but stops mid afternoon. George and Mimi were excellent hosts and very communitive and ensured we had everything we need and that they were available if needed. For a perfect location, clean and comfy flat and brilliant hosts then this is the place!"
